Lawrence Flaherty, or Larry as he prefers is a New England native, having lived in Massachusetts all of his life. Larry grew up in the northern Boston suburb of Wilmington along with his brother and two sisters. Here he attended grade school.  When entering high school Larry had the opportunity to attend a newly establish vocational school, Shawsheen Valley Technical High School located in Billerica, MA. During his high school years Larry studies included Culinary Arts in which he received certification upon graduation. During this period Larry was highly involved with Scouting, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout while he was a member of Troop 58, which was affiliated with St. Dorothy’s RCC in Wilmington. Larry continued with Scouting after attaining Eagle, going on to become an Assistant Scoutmaster and Webelo's leader.

After high school Larry started a career in food service, assuming his first management position as a Chef Manager with a contract food service company. During this time Larry determined that he could either be a Chef or a Manager, but could not excel at both which was in conflict to his personal standards of excellence.  This created a redirection of focus for Larry as he chose to pursue a career in Business Management. 

Larry enrolled in Northeastern University, and undertook night classes in pursuit of attaining the knowledge necessary for his new career.  As sometimes happens in business opportunities arise which you need to reach for even though personal goals must be put aside.  Larry found this true as he continued to climb the corporate ladder going from position to position and assuming ever increasing levels of responsibility.

In 1993 Larry entered the world of Franchising as a Franchise Business Consultant with D’Angelo Sandwich Shops, Inc. During this time Larry meet his mentor, Roy Jemison. Roy held the position of Vice President of Franchising with D’Angelo and had previously been with the Dunkin Donuts organization as Vice President and General Manager of their Franchise Operations. Larry worked with Roy for three years learning the intricacies and nuances of the franchise business. In 1997 Roy retired and Larry assumed his role within the D’Angelo organization.

Larry continued to grow with the D’Angelo organization and developed a passion for franchising. During this time he attended educational events hosted by the International Franchise Association, (IFA), enrolling in the IFA Certified Franchise Executive program, college certification courses on entrepreneurship and attending various legal seminars on Franchising.

Larry continued in this role until 2003 when he received a call from Steve Siegel, then COO / CFO of KaBloom Ltd.  Larry had meet Steve previously during IFA events while Steve was Chairman of the International Franchise Association. Steve asked him to join the rapidly growing KaBloom organization and assist KaBloom in establishing their Operational support structure.

Once with KaBloom Larry abilities were tasked to assist KaBloom’s growth as he assumed leadership roles not only in Franchise Operations, but also in Sales, Compliance, Marketing, Real Estate Development and Ecommerce. In 2006 KaBloom was sold to the investment group Culver Capital based in Anaheim, CA. As part of this transaction Larry was asked to stay on as Director of Franchising and General Manager where he remained until March of 2008.

Larry currently resides in Norton, Massachusetts with his wife of twenty-years, Diane and their son DJ.   Larry thoroughly enjoys assisting individuals explore the business opportunities provided by franchising
